This is a picture of my youngest brother, Abdullah Husni... fondly known as Abby. It is his first day at UiTM - Arau, Perlis (studying Sports Science)...Boy, does he look so happy!!!... Who wouldn't be ... going to Uni is a big thing!!!
The family drove all the way from KL to Perlis to send him off. I was a bit sad that I wasn't there due to certain circumstances that cannot be avoided... Sucks kan....But I feel so relieved that he got to get into Uni... So, another sibling to go... A girl, the baby of the family... Nur... who I call Annoy! :P
Coming back to Abby. The funny thing about this fellow is he so determined to get into Uni... Not to say he won't get in but we were all worried about him... I wouldn't say he is all A's kinda guy... but I can say he does fairly well in his studies... SPM, he passed!!! My mother was so relieved!
Then came the application to Unis....Knowing how the education system works in Malaysia... Not all students even with great marks get into Uni... and not all get the courses that they want... My brother on the other hand is one lucky fellow to get his choice of course compared to some of his friends who did not get into Uni at all.... (I hope they get in the 2nd intake...)
The funny this about him, was all the weeks before going to UiTM is... He was so over the moon....Ecstatic! about the whole thing of going to Uni... That one day when he came back from his part-time job he burst into the house saying "Budak universiti sudah balik!" (Uni boy has reached home!!!) as told by mum...This has become a tagline for us when we tease him... but he doesn't mind cos he enjoys it!!! Hahaha....
For me... I am happy for him and I wish him all the luck in the world, study smart not hard and enjoy Uni life because it only happens once in one's life..... I would like to see a footballer coach in the making to bring the Malaysian football team to the FIFA World Cup in years to come! Yes, that is his goal!!!
